Dear Reader,
A friend of mine had experienced difficulties in his business and could no longer provide for himself. He attended Healing Rooms every Friday for approximately 12 months trusting God for a breakthrough.

I updated his CV and believed that the breakthrough will come. One afternoon I received a call from Dr./Pastor Heather about a vacancy that was shared in a group and the description of the person they were seeking resembled my friend.

I submitted the Cv as per the details provided and he was called for an interview the next day. He was employed the Monday and recently celebrated his one year service 09 December 2025.

I struggled with dizziness and Anemia for almost 6 years.
Growing up, my mother had Anemia as well and she was on iron tablets/supplements for all of her life. She would have these fainting/dizziness episodes but as a child I never really knew or thought much about the condition.

In my adult life I started experiencing the same symptoms but it was minor episodes initially. Since it didn’t seem that serious I reasoned that I could learn to live with the condition and get by with my life. But then things got worse in late 2021.

The dizziness would last most of the day and in a few short weeks my life as I knew it had changed completely. It became unthinkable to go out for a morning run (a ritual I’d always stuck to and enjoyed everyday at 5am). Standing on my feet required great concentration. I could only manage short walks before I’d feel like passing out. The breathlessness persisted. I would gasp for breath even while sitting on a couch or lying down on my bed. During certain times, I would feel as if I was drifting in and out of consciousness.

I laid down motionless and knew the end was coming. But I didn’t want to think about it.

One or two mornings I remember asking my younger brother to come help me get out of my bed so I could use the bathroom. It was from this point that I started giving up on hope. I imagined death and pictured how my final moments would play out. I would do a countdown each night, convinced I wouldn’t wake to see the morning… My mother had passed away almost like that. Dizzy. Motionless. Unable to breath.

It was during one of those days of heaviness (which had become my new life) that a still small voice whispered through that despair and told me to go ask for help. The voice didn’t tell me how or where to go for help. But I just picked up from intuition that I should go to The Healing Rooms… The Holy Spirit was speaking to me but I no idea it was Him.

I came in to Healing Rooms a week or so later, the team prayed for me and asked me to come in for prayer every Friday. After 3 or 4 consecutive Fridays of coming to Healing Rooms all my symptoms disappeared. I started walking (on my own) again and a few days later I even took up jogging, something I’d ruled out from ever happening again in my life.

I’ve been off the medication (for Anemia) for almost 4 years now and I can say it was only God who came through and rescued me from certain death. I thank Him for the healing and for saving my soul. Hallelujah!!

After visiting Bethany, I felt led to attend the Soaking & Healing Room on a Friday evening. At the time, I had just started a new job, had made the decision to give up alcohol, and committed to working on my health.

From the moment I arrived, I was met with such genuine love, care, and compassion. I had never encountered people who listened so attentively, welcomed me so openly, and created such a safe space to share my heart. I shared my concerns, and they prayed for me with such faith and kindness — even going so far as to print out God’s promises for me to pray over my own life.

Today, I can truly say I am thriving in my job. Alcohol is a distant memory, and I am 31kg lighter. The ongoing support, prayer, and love experienced in the Friday night Healing Rooms have been absolutely life-changing.

I am forever grateful to God and to the incredible people at Bethany for being vessels of His love and healing.

A testimony my bro Ian went back to work today

Just for context. Ian was struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts. Doctors had put his brain on shock treatment. This was designed to stop Ian from committing suicide or harming those around him)

The intercessors at Bethany Fellowship had been keeping Ian in prayer ever since they were made aware of his condition.

It’s testimony of the power of prayer and how God heals. Today Ian is back at work and things can only get better from now on…
