Tuesday Bible Study with Dr. Heather Bock

Have you always wanted to improve your Bible Knowledge, grow spiritually but don’t have the time and resources to join Pat Kelly Bible College.

This year, starting 3 February 2026 until end of December 2026, join Dr. Heather Bock every Tuesday morning for Bible study from 10:00am to 11:00am. Sit down with other believers at Bethany Fellowship’s Church Hall. Bring your notebook and pen and get ready to learn as Dr Heather Bock unravels the mysteries behind the wisdom books of Job, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Songs/Song of Solomon.

Here’s a brief outline and introduction of each book and the kind of topics you’ll be exploring:

Book of Job:  Job is a dramatic poem that tackles the hardest question of all: Why do bad things happen to good people? After losing his wealth, his children, and his health, Job finds himself locked in a seemingly never-ending debate with his 3 friends who all believe that Job must have done something wrong to deserve the disastrous events in his life

Book of Proverbs: The Book of Proverbs is written in such a way that makes wisdom accessible to everyone whether rich, poor, man or woman. It uses short, clever sayings to bring out the differences between the “Wise Man” and the “Fool.” Learn everything about the dangers of gossip and laziness and the rewards of proper financial stewardship.

Book of Ecclesiastes: Written from the perspective of “The Teacher”, this book looks at money, power, hard work, and pleasure and concludes that they are all meaningless.

Song of Songs/Songs of Solomon: This book is a series of poems between two lovers. Owing to the strong romantic language in Songs of Songs. Many people wrongly believe that this book is meant to be read and studied by married. But nothing could be further from the truth. While Songs of Solomon could be seen as a a series of romantic lyrics, it is literally a metaphor of God’s love for humanity
